Length of Hire
A standard order will be on hire to you for 3 days so you have a day either side of your even to prep and wrap. For Saturday events we
generally deliver on a Friday collect on a Monday as we like to have a rest on Sunday!
Any extra time required may incur a surcharge but this will be discussed at the time of order.
Delivery or Collection
MOBOT Vintage is very happy for you to collect your crockery and accessories from the address stipulated at the time of your order, therefore avoiding any delivery or collection charges. If you would prefer us to deliver we can do and charge £10 delivery and £10 collection to SN14, SN15 and SN16 postcodes. We only charge £5 delivery and £5 collection for Malmesbury deliveries over £100
Outside of this area we will speak to you to discuss the delivery/collection charge at the time of your order. We are very happy to deliver
anywhere in the south west UK and will aim to keep delivery costs to a minimum at all times.
We can fit 120 trios in a car but for larger accessories and wedding prop hire a van may be required.
Confirmation and Cancellation
If you have to cancel your order and you do so within 30 day of the agreed delivery/collection date then you will incur no charge and your deposit will be returned in full. However if cancellation takes place within 30 days of the agreed delivery/collection date your 50% pre paid deposit is non-returnable. We must receive cancellation in writing via the contact page on our website.
All of your items will be packaged carefully and must be returned to MOBOT Vintage having been repackaged with due care and placed back into their original boxes or crates. The crockery is obviously fragile and if you choose to avoid a washing up surcharge and wish to wash the items yourself it is imperative that they are hand washed and dried with care. These vintage items were obviously not designed for dish washers!
Charges and Damages
When your order is placed with MOBOT Vintage you will be asked to secure it with a 50% payment of the value of your total order. The balance will then be payable 30 days prior to your delivery date. As a friend of Mobot Vintage we won’t ask for a damage deposit but if there is any damage or breakage upon return of your order, we will charge according to the replacement price list as shown on the website [not quite on the website yet but £5 per trio £8 per cake stand as a guide] . Crockery and glassware returned chipped will be charged as broken.
Checking and Signing
It is very important that you check your items carefully upon delivery and sign the accompanying delivery note accordingly. Please bring to our attention any problem with your delivery at this time. Upon signing you are fully responsible for the care of all items and are expected to return them to MOBOT Vintage in good order.
We are very happy to take care of the cleaning of all items upon their return but in most cases if your event is catered the catering team are happy to do this so please let us know what you would prefer. We do ask all surfaces are clean of food before repackaging so will need to be rinsed before return. Washing up service will need to be requested at the time of order. This service will be charged at 20% of the value of the total hiring charge.
MOBOT Vintage will accept no responsibility for damage or injury caused to person or product as a result of this hire arrangement, unless negligence on the part of MOBOT Vintage can be shown. All goods are hired and are the responsibility of the hirer until they are returned to MOBOT Vintage.
For your peace of mind we strongly recommend that suitable wedding/ event insurance be taken out by yourself as all equipment is the responsibility of the hirer until return or collection, including equipment left at other premises. Any losses, damage or breakages will be charged accordingly.
